The Willard Store

Today the Ridge properties have expansive front lawns, uninterrupted by intruding structures, that extend to Main Street. Throughout the 1800s, however, there were a number of buildings located at the base of these front lawns. One of these buildings was the Willard Store once located at the end of Stedman's driveway. One wonders how this small town of Orford could support two general stores. The Willard Store burned in 1905.
