Into the Woods Old Rte 25 Sandpits

Old Route 25A

In addition to signs of the past in the wooded landscape, look for old Route 25A which runs just below the bank on the right hand side of the trail. Increased traffic and the condition of the roadway called for a major overhaul of Route 25A. The road was straightened and moved to the right as it ascends the hill toward Orfordville.
