Another Tillotson investment was a mill that was located just below the bridge on Creamery Road before it intersects with Tillotson Falls Road.

Daniel Frye also operated the Tillotson & Carr Sawmill further down Jacobs Brook that employed six men and produced 500,000 feet of lumber per year. Numerous mills were located along Jacobs Brook including the one pictured here known as the Dayton Mill. There was even an attempt to incorporate the various owners into a single entity known as the Orford Mill River Improvement Company.
